Happy Pancake Day! I hope everyone’s had the chance to eat a big stack of pancakes today to celebrate! I’m not going to lie, I’ve had Pancake Day in my mind since last years Pancake Day – no shame.
For a couple of months already, I’ve known exactly where I wanted to celebrate this year’s Shrove Tuesday – at The Diner in Ganton Street. Last December I tried their pancakes for the first time, and since then I’ve been looking for the perfect excuse to go back as soon as possible, and today was the perfect one.
When I went there last year, after stalking their Instagram page around fifty times and reading their menu over and over, I decided I would go for their Red Velvet pancakes. They were delicious and most importantly, the portion was huge. I mean, it was so big I could only eat half of it, and I’m the type of person that would normally eat my plate and everyone else’s leftovers – again, no shame. I would definitely recommend trying it and judging for yourselves.
This time though, besides getting the Red Velvet pancakes, I also tried the Reece’s Pieces ones and share both with my friend Kate, who even though is American had never celebrated Pancake Day (WHAT!!??)
Let the countdown begin for next years Pancake Day! Only 364 days to go…
