Going out for breakfast during the week should totally be a thing. I’m sure I’m not the only person who wouldn’t mind waking up earlier to catch up with friends over smashed avocado and poached eggs – or a huge stack of pancakes. Or maybe I am the only person… Anyway, over the last few weeks, as part of my new jobs’ amazing policy of having to go out for breakfast or lunch with every single colleague of mine (read more on my previous post here) I’ve been out for breakfast before work three times, and I can’t say how much I prefer it over going out for lunch! It’s such a great way of starting your day.
My favorite breakfast – so far – has been at The Breakfast Club. Simon and I had been wanting to go here for quite a few months now but we never got around doing it. When one of my colleagues suggested going there I was beyond excited. PANCAKES BEFORE WORK! Well… waffles in this case.
And they were SO FREAKING GOOD! They had peanut butter as well, which you can’t really see but trust me, it was there. And if you know me then you know my obsession with the banana+peanut butter combination.
I actually thought really deep about going for the healthy option, but I just couldn’t. I felt like getting smashed avocado at The Breakfast Club would be like ordering a salad at McDonalds. So I ordered the biggest waffle I could find on the menu and compensated with going for a run in the evening after work!
