I am, and have always been, a morning person. My body naturally wakes up at 7:30 am every day and as soon as I open my eyes I am wide awake, and I love it! When I was a kid, I was usually the first one up on Sundays – the only day of the week that my parents didn’t work – and whilst everyone else was sleeping, I would bake muffins for breakfast. I’m still waiting for my “Best Daughter of the Year” award…
On top of always waking up early, I wake up STARVING. Like literally, I could eat the whole fridge. I never ever ever skip breakfast. I think the only times I do so is when I need to get a blood test done. And I suffer – not because of the blood test itself – but because I leave the house without eating.
So yes, just in case I haven’t made myself clear at this point, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love going out for breakfast too: alone or with friends. Sometimes I’ll bring my laptop with me and have breakfast while I work on a few blog posts or other things I need to get done on that day. And this is exactly what I did a few days ago.
One of the restaurants I work at is very close to King’s Cross, and to get there I have to go through King’s Cross Boulevard where there are a LOT of nice places to eat, and one of them is Granger and Co. It looks gorgeous on the outside so I thought that the breakfast would be really good too, and I wasn’t wrong.
I went for the spiced almond milk chai, vegan granola, coconut yoghurt and fruit compote, and rye toast with almond butter. Can I please have this for breakfast every day?
I was a bit hesitant about the Spiced almond milk chai latte, because I normally don’t like how coffee or tea taste with almond milk, but this one was ah-mazing. I think their almond milk is homemade so that might be why it tasted so good! I even liked the raisins in the granola and I don’t even like raisins…
Overall, the experience was great. They also have fast Wifi, nearby sockets and comfy chairs (my three essentials for when I bring my laptop to work). Oh and the bill came with this super cute card. So if you live in London, you know where you need to go next time you’re craving a delicious breakfast. I’m definitely coming back!
